This contest is part of the Daejeon International Photography Festival, which will be held for the first time in November in the central region, and a total of over 900 photographs were submitted nationwide.

The contest featured various pets, capturing significant moments that reflect the bond between humans and animals, allowing submissions without restrictions on the types of animals. After judging, 160 entries were selected, including 1 Gold Prize, 2 Silver Prizes, 3 Bronze Prizes, 20 Honorable Mentions, and 134 selected entries.

The Gold Prize was awarded to Lee Dae-hee for "Joyful Walk," while the Silver Prizes went to Son Ae-ban for "The Era of One Dog and One Cell Phone" and Lee Jin-joo for "That Moment."

The Bronze Prizes were awarded to Kang Mi-ja for "The Sentinel," Kang Cho-rong for "Ready to Go Out," and Lee Jin-hyun for "In Dreamland."

The exhibition for the contest will take place from November 13 to 24 at the Media Cube building of Daejeon Expo Citizen Plaza, with a special exhibition of animal photographers on the second floor.

Additionally, the organizers plan to elevate next year’s contest to an international level, branding it as the Daejeon International Pet Photography Contest to encourage participation from around the world.
