(Seoul = News1) Choi Seo-yun, Animal Culture Specialist Reporter – "Joyful Walk" by Lee Dae-hee won the gold prize at the "Daejeon Pet Photography Contest," held as part of the Daejeon International Photography Festival.
On the 14th, the Daejeon International Photography Festival Organizing Committee announced the final award-winning and selected entries among over 900 photographs submitted nationwide from August 20 to September 30.
According to the announcement, the silver prize was awarded to "The Era of One Dog and One Cell Phone" by Son Ae-ban and "That Moment" by Lee Jin-joo. The bronze prize went to "The Sentinel" by Kang Mi-ja, "Ready to Go Out" by Kang Cho-rong, and "In Dreamland" by Lee Jin-hyun. Additionally, 20 honorable mentions and 134 selected entries were recognized.
The 2024 Daejeon Pet Photography Contest is part of the "Daejeon International Photography Festival," which will be held for the first time at an international level in the central region this November.
The organizers plan to elevate the pet photography contest to the "Daejeon International Pet Photography Contest" next year, aiming to create a competition open to participants worldwide.
The exhibition of the contest will take place on the 3rd floor of the Media Cube building at the Daejeon Expo Citizen Plaza from November 13 to 24. An invitational exhibition featuring animal photographers will also be held on the 2nd floor. [Happy Pet]
